Tech is not the solution for everything, and there is no one-size-fits-all tool that can solve all environmental challenges. In fact, tech can sometimes amplify existing inequities and injustices. Still, we firmly believe that recent advancements in AI/ML should be harnessed as catalysts for change. Global conservation knowledge and AI predominantly represent perspectives of the Global North (ref). We’re challenging this imbalance by developing a bot built on a more diverse database, enhancing local perspectives while demystifying and easing access to topics like blue finance.
